Norma T. Hollis is a pioneering transformational coach, speaker and trainer who writes programs for human development. Her most popular program is the Authentic Voice System which helps clients deepen awareness of self and transform to the person they were born to be. This work is grounded in the Authenticity Grid, the result of 30 years of research into human nature from personal, professional, and spiritual perspectives. The Grid can be used as a self-coaching tool for individuals and a tool to help organizations address authentic inclusion.
Norma’s pioneering spirit shows up in many ways. She was the first black woman to own a speaker bureau for black speakers and the first person to create an early intervention program for preschool children in Detroit, MI and Cleveland, OH. Now Norma is sharing pioneering work with self-awareness and identity by adding depth and context to what it means to be your authentic self.
She certifies speakers, coaches and facilitators to deliver the Authentic Voice System; offers it to youth in game formats; teaches individuals to coach themselves; and helps organizations build authentic leaders who promote authentic inclusion. Norma is also a Coach Host for WBECS and was the facilitator for the WBECS sponsored panel discussing Unconscious Bias: New Perspectives for Coaches. Her books, programs, and online school – Authenticity U – help people find, live, and share their authentic voice and make a difference in the world in impactful ways. Norma is the author of over a dozen books including “Blueprint for Engagement: Authentic Leadership”, “Ten Steps to Authenticity” and “The Process to Become a Professional Speaker”.
Authenticity has become a buzz word in many sectors of society. It’s not unusual to hear someone say ‘just be authentic’ as if it’s an easy solution to personal and organizational problems. But the remark seldom comes with instructions on how to be authentic because in fact, most people do not know.
Becoming authentic is a process. It takes us beyond the socialization we received in our youth about how to succeed in life. Becoming authentic requires taking time to look deep within and not be afraid about what you find. It’s also about making a series of ‘tweaks’ in your life to transition to your authentic self, a step-by-step process that leads to levels of self awareness that bring clarity, identity and raise one’s personal power.
In this thought-provoking and highly inspirational program, you will gain depth and context to what it means to be authentic. You will be introduced to the Authenticity Grid, a graphic representation of a self-awareness system that identifies nine dimensions of your authentic self. With awareness of these dimensions and their integration, clients gain new perspectives of themselves, inspiring them to create relationships that are more authentic, become a more engaging leader, promote authentic inclusion, and help team members find, live and share their authentic self.
